RRB ALP 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification
You must have a clear 10th exam and also must have an ITI
certificate or a diploma in engineering. If you had a clear 12th, but for that,
you would also need to have an ITI certificate or a diploma in engineering.
2. Age Limit
The minimum age to apply for the exam must be 18 to 30 years
& also an age reservation as per the government, that is 33 years for
OBC-NCL, 35 years for SC/ST, and up to 40+ for special categories.
3. Nationality
Only Indian citizens are able to apply for this exam, as this
exam is conducted by the Indian Railway Authority. Also, if you are a citizen
of Nepal or Bhutan, then you can also apply for this exam.
4. Medical Eligibility
Aspirants must have good eyesight and color vision with A-1
medical standard requirements.
RRB ALP Salary 2026

Best Preparation Tips to Crack RRB ALP 2026
1. Understand the exam pattern & syllabus thoroughly. It
is divided into two parts: CBT1, which is only for a qualifying nature &
CBT2, which is for a selection nature. Complete the entire syllabus of CB1
& CB2.
CB1 includes basic questions on 10th-level concepts in math,
science, reasoning, GK/current affairs, etc. CB2 includes ITI/diploma technical
questions, such as electrical basics and mechanics.
2. Practice more mock test papers to increase your daily mock
speed & accuracy & weak areas to make them stronger parts. It will also
help in proving accuracy & speed on your exam. Also mark difficult
questions that you are unable to solve in one go.
3. Try to cover important topics only, as not all topics are
important, but also focus on those topics that are used gradually & are
scoring, e.g., math (profit & loss & percentage), reasoning (series
& analogy), & science (basic physics).
4. Try to make a short note copy of the important points or
formulas for the end time. It must include important formulae, notes, lines, or
a summary of the topic.
5. Revise everything daily so that you don't forget what you
have learned earlier. You can revise weekly some light topics & heavy
