CTET 2026 Eligibility


  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The minimum age limit to apply for the CTET exam is 18 years, with no upper age limit.
  • The candidate must have passed 12+ with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to teach students of classes 1 to 5. So the candidate needs to give paper 1.
  • The candidate must be gradute with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) to teach students in classes 6 to 12. So the candidate needs to give paper 2.
  • 5% reservation is for reserved candidates.
  • There is also no limit to taking the exam, as candidates can make any number of attempts.
