CTET 2026 Eligibility

The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
The minimum age limit to apply for the CTET exam is 18 years, with no upper age limit.
The candidate must have passed 12+ with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to teach students of classes 1 to 5. So the candidate needs to give paper 1.
The candidate must be gradute with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) to teach students in classes 6 to 12. So the candidate needs to give paper 2.
